We’re partnering with a highly respected engineering firm that is looking to appoint a Senior Draughtsman (Tekla). This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced draughtsman to play a key role in the design and delivery of high-quality steel solutions across commercial, residential, and industrial sectors.
Role Overview :
As a Senior Draughtsman, you will create detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures, ensuring designs meet project standards. You will collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to deliver accurate and practical designs. You will also support the fabrication and site teams with technical drawings, design modifications, and problem-solving on projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce accurate 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings in Tekla Structures.
* Ensure all designs comply with project specifications and industry standards.
* Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project teams to deliver seamless project execution.
* Support fabrication and site teams with design clarifications, modifications, and technical guidance.
* Mentor junior draughtsmen and contribute to the development of the design team.
The Ideal Candidate :
* Proven experience as a draughtsman in structural or architectural steel detailing.
* Proficient in Tekla Structures software.
* Strong knowledge of steel fabrication and erection processes.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Previous experience supporting project delivery in a manufacturing or engineering environment is desirable.
