Kettering Health – Washington Township, Centerville – Full-Time – First Shift

The Wound/Ostomy Nurse utilizes the nursing process to provide care to patients in all settings, collaborating with other health care providers. The RN is accountable for professional development and practice within the scope of care defined by law. The RN acts as a patient advocate for safe care delivery, including delegation of care and participation in performance and practice improvement activities.

The nursing care within the Kettering Network reflects the organization’s missions, vision, values and philosophies, and the RN serves as a resource for nursing staff and other health care professionals regarding wound/ostomy/skin management and care.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred (consider qualified candidates working toward BSN completion – must be completed within 5 years of hire).

At least 2 years Med/Surg Experience.

Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Ohio. Wound/Ostomy certification preferred at hire – if not, must be obtained within 3 years of hire.

Communication and collaboration skills; excellent assessment skills; patience and empathy; ability to work independently; prioritization and patient triage; ability to work in a fast‑paced, acute hospital environment. BLS required. Experience with EPIC charting preferred.
