Overview
The clinical staff at the Premier Physician Network are responsible for general clinical and procedural patient care under the direction and supervision of the center’s physicians and/or providers.

Nature and ScopeA minimum patient base of 1,000 to 3,000 patients is served, and an average of 20 – 50 patients are seen each day. The clinical staff will assist providers with patient care that includes, but is not limited to order entry, reporting, phone calls, clerical, and organizational tasks, and related duties. As directed by the provider, this position must be able to independently perform procedures which may include venipuncture, administration of injections, pulmonary function tests, ear irrigations, ultrasound therapy, muscle stimulation, hot/cold packs, EKGs, breathing treatment, x-rays, lab testing, holter monitoring, dressing changes, wound cleaning, hearing and vision tests.
This position may also assist provider/s with surgical and medical procedures, e.g. minor wound repair, foreign body removals, etc.
- Assist providers with patient care, including order entry, reporting, phone calls, clerical and organizational tasks.
- Independently perform procedures as directed by the provider, such as venipuncture, injections, pulmonary function tests, ear irrigations, ultrasound therapy, muscle stimulation, hot/cold packs, EKGs, breathing treatments, x-rays, lab testing, and dressing changes.
- Conduct wound cleaning and dressing changes; perform hearing and vision tests.
- Assist with surgical and medical procedures as directed (e.g., minor wound repair, foreign body removals).
- High School diploma or equivalent certificate.
- Medical Assistant applicants must have successfully completed an accredited Medical Assistant program and/or will have obtained certification through a recognized certifying organization.
- Licensed Practical Nurse applicants must have completed a practical nursing and pharmacology program and maintain current state licensure with CNE requirements.
- Prior experience in an ambulatory health care facility preferred.
- Ability to learn related center tasks and be of assistance to management and physicians.
- Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service.
- CPR certified within the first 3 months of employment.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
- Familiarity with the EPIC EMR is strongly preferred.
- Thorough understanding of HIPAA law.
