Logistics Specialist III
Join Sierra Nevada Corporation as a Logistics Specialist III. In this role you will prepare logistics documentation to support the pipeline for spares, tools, test equipment, materials, and related manuals, ensuring they are available for deployment and stocked.
ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for routing, documenting, and coordinating shipping logistics, maintaining records of equipment, components, repair parts, and related manuals, and tracking logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of our storage facilities. You will ensure shipping activities adhere to state, federal, and global regulations and import/export requirements.
Qualifications You Must Have- High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 4 or more years of relevant experience
- A higher level degree may substitute for experience
- Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Understanding and experience with the practical application of Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques
- Progressive experience with inventory databases
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance
- Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems
- Haz Mat Training/Certification
- Ability to operate a Forklift
- Experience with shipping databases such as Fed Ex, DHL, UPS
- Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and a clean driving record
- Understanding of Shelf Life
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the U.S. Department of Defense or U.S. Military

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non‑U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants.
Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
