Senior Front-End Developer​/Lead

Overview

Yield Solutions Group (YSG) is seeking a Senior Front-End Developer / Team Lead to join our Development Team. In this role, you will be a hands-on developer responsible for building and maintaining multiple JavaScript front-end applications while leading a small team of developers. This position reports to the Director of Platform Development.

You will work closely with the Director of Platform Development, other team leads, and the Product Team to deliver high-quality front-end experiences for our consumers and internal users. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in React development, a proven track record of leading development teams, and a passion for building polished, performant user interfaces that drive business success. This role is well-suited for someone who thrives as both an individual contributor and a team leader.

• Serve as a hands-on developer, writing production-quality front-end code across multiple React applications while maintaining high standards for code quality and performance
• Lead a small team of front-end developers, providing day-to-day guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to ensure consistent, high-quality output
• Own the technical direction of YSG s front-end applications, establishing development standards, best practices, and coding guidelines while making architectural and implementation decisions that support current operations and future growth
• Partner with the Product Team to assess technical feasibility, scope, and timelines for new front-end requirements, collaborating to find optimal solutions that balance business objectives with technical constraints
• Troubleshoot complex front-end issues, optimize application performance, and ensure a seamless user experience across all supported platforms and devices
• Ensure front-end applications support the security, compliance, and accessibility requirements relevant to YSG’s business
• Participate in technical design reviews, sprint planning, and cross-functional meetings that shape YSG’s technology direction

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
• 7+ years of professional front-end development experience with a strong focus on JavaScript and modern frameworks
• Deep expertise in Typescript, React, and modern patterns and best practices
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles
• Prior experience leading or managing a development team, with demonstrated ability to mentor developers, conduct effective code reviews, and drive team performance
• Experience building and maintaining multiple front-end applications simultaneously in a professional environment
• Solid understanding of front-end build tools, package managers, and modern development workflows
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with product teams, designers, and backend developers
• Ability to balance hands-on development with team leadership responsibilities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities

• Experience with Vue.js
• Experience with Next.js and server-side rendering patterns
• Experience with Cypress for end-to-end testing
• Familiarity with financial services, fintech, or regulated industry front-end requirements
• Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and cross-browser compatibility best practices
• Experience utilizing AI Development Tools, ideally Claude Code

Base Salary: 150, annually, commensurate with experience
