ResponsibilitiesOur Software Engineers work in an agile, collective environment. You will use your skills and expertise to define, design, develop, test, certify, and improve cutting‑edge software products. These cover a wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You'll perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting of systems and software throughout our development process.
Technical duties involve the design and development of new software products throughout the product lifecycle.

Minimum Qualifications- Requires bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree or master's + 6 years experience).
- Typically, 8+ years of related experience.
- Expertise in one or multiple programming languages and advanced understanding of software development principles.
- Ability to design and architect complex software systems.
- Experience with different software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum/Kanban.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to mentor and guide other engineers.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.
- Hands‑on experience with the Open Mission Systems (OMS) and Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI) standards.
- Advanced expertise in requirements management and system modeling tools, such as No Magic Cameo.
- Proven experience in software architecture, including functional decomposition, interface definition, and software design.
- Strong understanding and practical application of software design patterns.
- Experience in creating detailed software interface control documents and algorithm description documents.
- Proficiency in developing and managing requirements using advanced modeling techniques.
- In‑depth knowledge of industry‑standard design principles, including but not limited to requirements management and Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Certification or practical experience with International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) standards.
- Solid background in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
- Familiarity with defining and tracking key Technical Performance Measurements (TPMs) to ensure project success.
- Demonstrated experience in defining and developing test cases based on architectural documentation and system requirements.
Pay Range: $73.48 – $101.50/hr your actual base compensation will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on job‑related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.
IMPORTANT NOTICEThis position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non‑U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF) handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants.
