Overview
National Technology Transfer, Inc. (NTT) is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support, maintain, and improve our portfolio of industrial training systems. Working with a wide variety of mechanical and electrical equipment, you will ensure our hands-on training systems remain safe, functional, and ready for instructional use. This full-time position offers stable, independent work in a professional, climate-controlled environment where your technical skills directly support workforce education across the United States.
Position Title: Maintenance Technician — Industrial Training Equipment
Compensation: $26.00 to $38.00 per hour (W-2 Employee)
Employment Type: Full-time, Hourly, Overtime Eligible
Location: Centennial, CO (On-site position)

- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical training systems.
- Troubleshoot issues related to motors, drives, PLCs, relays, sensors, pumps, valves, and control wiring.
- Repair and replace components including switches, circuit protection devices, fittings, and wiring harnesses.
- Assemble, calibrate, and test new or refurbished trainers to verify operational readiness.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage.
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely to move and stage training systems.
- Support inventory organization and equipment storage, applying sound warehousing practices.
- Collaborate with subject-matter experts to ensure equipment functionality meets training objectives.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area consistent with NTT’s safety and quality standards.
- Recommend design or process improvements to enhance equipment reliability and maintainability.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in industrial maintenance, electromechanical repair, or related technical work.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot both electrical and mechanical systems safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with electrical schematics, control circuits, and industrial automation components.
- Prior exposure to industrial automation systems or control panel wiring.
- Experience with mechanical assemblies including bearings, couplings, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety, lockout/tagout, and OSHA-compliant work practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision.
- Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications (MS Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Experience supporting training equipment, lab systems, or prototype machinery.
- Experience with warehousing, inventory control, or logistics operations.
- Developed and managed a preventive maintenance program for industrial or technical systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair complex systems.
- Solid electrical troubleshooting skills for both AC and DC circuits.
- Initiative and accountability in managing maintenance schedules and documentation.
- Ability to collaborate with instructors, technical managers, and operations staff.
