YANAM2M is a nonprofit based in Colorado, established in response to the tragic suicides of two mothers who also took their children's lives. The organization aims to offer more comprehensive support to mothers, inevitably improving their lives and those around them. YANAM2M's mission is to create lasting change by supporting mothers effectively and empathetically, one mama at a time.
Role OverviewYou Are Not Alone Mom to Mom is seeking committed and mission driven individuals to serve on our Nonprofit Development Committee. This committee plays an important role in strengthening the organization’s infrastructure and supporting the strategic growth of YANA as we expand programs such as Strong Mamas, Thriving Babies into additional hospitals and communities.
Key Responsibilities- Support the organization’s expansion efforts by helping strengthen nonprofit development infrastructure
- Assist in improving YANA’s presence and profiles on nonprofit evaluation and transparency platforms such as Charity Navigator, Guide Star/Candid, and similar resources
- Review and recommend strategies to improve organizational transparency, reporting, and donor confidence
- Provide guidance on best practices in nonprofit governance, compliance, and credibility indicators used by funders and donors
- Help identify tools, platforms, and systems that support nonprofit growth and impact measurement
- Support leadership in preparing materials that demonstrate impact and organizational effectiveness
- Offer strategic feedback on fundraising readiness and development opportunities
- Serve as an ambassador for YANA within professional and community networks
- Experience in nonprofit management, philanthropy, fundraising, nonprofit evaluation, or organizational development
- Familiarity with nonprofit transparency platforms such as Charity Navigator, Candid/Guide Star, or similar charity evaluation tools
- Experience in strategic planning, governance, or nonprofit capacity building is highly valued
- Strong interest in maternal mental health, family support, and community impact
Estimated 2 to 4 hours per month, including occasional meetings and independent support work.
Impact of the RoleCommittee members will play a critical role in strengthening the foundation of YANA as we expand our reach and serve more families. By helping improve the systems that support transparency, credibility, and sustainable growth, this committee directly contributes to the long-term success and impact of our mission to ensure that no parent ever feels alone.
