Overview
CMS specializes in high-quality mechanical/plumbing installation, repair & renovation projects, complex construction, and maintenance & service on building systems. We build strong relationships with each of our clients, ensuring that they are informed and provided with a high level of communication to meet and exceed expectations throughout the project life cycle.
Duties and Responsibilities- Work safely, complete all company safety training and wear all personal protective equipment when on job sites.
- Strong business development and relationship building to prospective bid opportunities.
- Preparing and managing bids for commercial construction projects throughout the front range.
- Take-offs and estimation of complete scopes including but not limited to equipment, materials, labor requirements, and any subcontractor needs that fall under our scope of work.
- Experience in obtaining and evaluating material, equipment and subcontractor quotes to meet full specification and scope requirements.
- Writing proposals/bids.
- Managing multiple bids simultaneously and evaluating changes through the bid process.
- Follow up and strong closing to any/all associated business development opportunities.
- Pre-construction and design build/ design assist experience a huge plus.
- Develop and foster business relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 8+ years of experience estimating large and small commercial HVAC, Plumbing & Piping construction projects.
- Experience managing multiple bids through the entire bid process.
- A strong background in Plumbing, HVAC, Mechanical Piping & Ductwork.
- Field experience a plus.
- Strong initiative and attention to detail.
- Strong trade (HVAC, plumbing, mechanical piping, sheet metal) comprehension and math skills.
- Highly skilled in reading and understanding drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
- Ability to accurately compile a summary of materials, equipment, and labor.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Quote Soft/ESTMEP bid software experience preferred.
- 80% stationary position, would require occasional job walks and site visits. Walking up/down stairs, lifting 20 lbs., crouching, twisting, pushing/pulling 20 lbs., walking on uneven ground.
Salary Range: $-$ annually (depending on skill and experience). Eligible for the Preconstruction Inventive Plan.
