Job Summary

The Senior Right of Way Specialist leads complex Right of Way projects involving land acquisition, negotiations, property research, title, surveys, permitting, construction coordination, and restoration
. This role provides senior-level oversight, QA/QC, stakeholder coordination, and mentorship while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities Project Leadership & Planning
  • Lead project planning,
    budgeting, scheduling
    , and establishment of critical project objectives.
  • Manage multiple Right of Way projects across varied locations.
  • Prepare project status, technical, and acquisition reports for project teams and client management.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships including contracts, invoices, and change orders.
  • Support marketing efforts and identify key pursuits.
Right of Way & Real Estate Oversight
  • Perform quality review of land and Right of Way agreements, deeds, easements, leases, permits, and licenses.
  • Review real property–related project documents and Right of Way documentation.
  • Review and validate stakeholder management database entries from field agents.
  • Present technical data to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and submit permit applications

Stakeholder & Public Engagement
  • Present at public involvement meetings
    .
  • Serve as a senior point of contact for Right of Way technical questions.
  • Ensure accurate document preparation, control, and meeting coordination.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to overall QA/QC processes
    .
  • Ensure compliance with company, site safety, and motor vehicle safety policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.
Mentorship & Team Development
  • Train and mentor staff.
  • Promote best practices in Right of Way execution and documentation.
Skills & Qualifications Required Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret title reports, appraisal reports, and land surveys
  • Demonstrated knowledge of real estate law and title work
  • Strong stakeholder communication and expert presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as an effective team member
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
  • Experience with database system management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word даара Excel, and Power Point
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain company driving privileges
Preferred Skills
  • Utilities Right of Way experience
  • SR/WA designation or other IRWA certification
  • Real Estate Broker or Sales License
Additional Skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Public meeting facilitation experience
  • QA/QC leadership experience
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field and 8 years of Right of Way acquisition, relocation, eminent domain, project management, and/or real estate experience required

    • High School +
      12 years relevant experience
    • Associate’s Degree +
      10 years relevant experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree + 8 years relevant experience
