Senior Accountant

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with a strong background in the construction industry to join their finance team. This role is critical to ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely month-end close, and effective management of accounting operations including A/P and A/R,.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Assist with preparing financial statements for multiple entities
• Manage intercompany transactions
• Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals
• Oversee and support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate cost allocation, invoice coding and cash forecasting
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Assist with audits, tax filings, and financial reporting requirements
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and controls
• Mentor junior accounting staff as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with construction industry experience strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of job costing and project-based accounting
• Hands-on experience with multiple entities, month-end close, AP, and AR
• Experience with Netsuite a plus
• Advanced Excel skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
