Job Description
The Accounting Coordinator III will perform a variety of functions required to provide accurate and reliable financial information for the field and headquarters. Position will assist and support the SSC, field and headquarter operations.
Essential Functions- Daily management of system to system transactions for all companies. Maintains daily alignment of the general ledger and supporting systems. Balance daily transactions originating from Ryder employees. provides accounting support to field operations and headquarters including but not limited to: balance sheet, P&L, research and posting JVs
- Reviews and tests the effectiveness of internal controls
- Assists with ad hoc projects and helps department achieve its SLA commitments
- Analytic reporting at employee and company level
- Monitor, test and modify the internal controls of a business processes
- Provide support to the field and headquarter staff
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrates analytical skills
- Continuous process improvement background (preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills
- Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
- MS Office knowledge intermediate required
- H.S. diploma/GED required plus 2 years occupational specific training beyond High School
- Associate's degree required in Business
- Two (2) years or more related work experience required
- Two (2) years or more Mainframe and Legacy systems experience preferred
