Core Responsibilities- Accountable for performing day‑to‑day non‑clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities, ensuring efficient workflow and a positive patient experience while serving as a full‑time certified pharmacy technician.
- Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, supervising technicians and cashiers in accordance with company policies, laws, and ethics.
- Select, schedule, develop, train, coach, and conduct performance management of pharmacy technicians, including discipline and termination decisions.
- Assist the pharmacist in patient registration, prescription data entry, medication preparation and verification, call handling, and administration of permissible health services (vaccines, health screenings) under supervision.
- Delegate non‑clinical work, ensure timely task completion, and hold the team accountable for workflow efficiency.
- Prepare and file required reports and records for the company and government agencies, manage inventory preparation, and maintain pharmacy equipment operation and maintenance.
- Implement new technology and process rollouts, champion change, and engage the team in action planning.
- Ensure compliance with Good Faith Dispensing policies, recordkeeping, security safeguards, and asset protection techniques, and report diversion concerns.
- Communicate prescription errors to the pharmacist, adhere to policies on errors, and support continuous quality improvement.
- Accurately process insurance claims, follow up with insurers and providers, and participate in audit activities.
- Assist the Store Manager and Pharmacy Manager in analyzing and improving pharmacy financials, operational quality, and customer service.
- Manage the Community Outreach Portal, coordinate off‑site immunization clinics and community events, and sustain retail partnership relationships.
- Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, resolving complaints, and handling non‑clinical questions to ensure a positive experience.
- Develop strong relationships with customers by anticipating needs and proactively offering services, enhancing experience through a focus on healthcare services.
- Assist pharmacist in patient registration, prescription data entry, medication preparation and verification, call handling, and administration of allowed health services.
- Within company policy and law, delegate, direct, and assign non‑clinical work in the pharmacy, ensuring tasks are completed on time and holding others accountable for efficient workflow.
- Prepare and file reports and records required by the company and government agencies.
- Coordinate the pharmacy's daily schedule of activities, recommend allocation of pharmacy hours, and maintain a clean, orderly, and stocked pharmacy.
- Ensure compliance and execution of all administrative activities and inventory management tasks that do not require pharmacist licensure and manage annual inventory preparation.
- Complete non‑clinical patient calls and champion new technology/process rollouts.
- Maintain proper operation of pharmacy equipment and collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager on record keeping and security safeguards.
- Adhere to Good Faith Dispensing policy and understand the role in ensuring elements of Good Faith Dispensing are met.
- Support Pharmacy Manager with diversion monitoring and report safety concerns.
- Communicate prescription errors to the pharmacist and adhere to Company policies on errors and the Continuous Quality Improvement Program.
- Ensure accurate processing of insurance claims, follow‑up with insurers and providers, and participate in third‑party audits.
- Assist Store Manager and Pharmacy Manager in analyzing and improving pharmacy financials, operational quality, and customer service.
