This position is responsible for the transportation of materials in a safe and timely manner by applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and local roads. The professional driver will drive to and from designated locations, verify loads against shipping papers, maintain duty status records according to state and federal regulations, and perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections. The driver will present a professional business image to the public and to fellow employees.

The driver must possess a valid commercial Class B driver’s license, Hazmat, Air Brake endorsements, and a medical card. This position reports to the Site Manager or Operations Manager.

• Transport cylinders to assigned internal and external customers in a timely and safety‑conscious manner, staying within posted speed limits and complying with DOT and company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and maintain the vehicle in a clean and proper condition.
• Legibly complete driver log/trip reports on a daily basis.
• Accurately record cylinders/hard‑goods transactions on customer delivery tickets and trip reports.
• Maintain good communication with supervisor and management regarding safety and customer matters.
• Operate and drive a forklift truck as required for loading and unloading of product.
• Set a good example through observation of the company’s loss‑prevention policies and procedures.
• Report accidents, including near‑misses and unsafe acts or conditions, and obey safety rules.
• Use effective time‑management tools to meet work commitments and deadlines, ensuring safety and on‑time delivery.
• Participate as an active member of the local safety committee when assigned.
• Fill cryogenic liquid dewars.
• Provide first‑line technical support.
• Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

• Valid commercial Class B driver’s license with Hazmat and Air Brake endorsements and a medical card.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous commercial driving experience or graduation from an accredited commercial driving school.
• Minimum of one year of road experience preferred; no moving violations for the past three years.
• Minimum age 22 with an excellent driving record.
• Ability to push a cart of 200+ lb cylinders and lift 50+ lb containers.
• Proficient reading, writing, and basic math skills in English.
• Ability to handle receipts, read maps, road signs, and maintain duty‑status records.
• Basic administrative and problem‑solving skills.
• Flexible work hours and acceptance of prolonged sitting, bending, stooping, and climbing.
• Ability to work in diverse weather and conditions.
• Preferred previous experience in the cylinder gas specialty chemical industry.
