About Tracker:
The Tracker collaborates closely with Juvenile Court Services to supervise and support at-risk youth in the community, promoting successful outcomes and positive behavior change. This position engages youth and families through face-to-face interaction, behavior monitoring, and resource coordination to help juveniles meet probation expectations and transition successfully into adulthood.
Essential Functions
- Meets regularly with youth and families to provide direct support, supervision, and behavioral guidance.
- Collects urine samples and monitors electronic tracking systems to ensure client compliance.
- Maintains frequent communication with Juvenile Court Officers to coordinate services and share updates on client progress.
- Attends staff meetings, individual supervision, and trainings to improve practice and alignment with department goals.
- Completes timely and accurate documentation of all client meetings, services provided, and progress notes.
- Assists youth in accessing and navigating education, employment, and treatment resources.
- Provides transportation to school, counseling sessions, nonprofit work, and other essential appointments.
- Supports crisis management, mediates conflicts, and reinforces behavioral expectations with both clients and families.
- Investigates client whereabouts as needed and uses electronic systems to track or validate locations.
- Encourages prosocial decision-making and long-term goal setting through coaching, role-playing, and positive reinforcement.
- Associates degree in the social sciences or a related field required.
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience working with delinquent adolescents in the juvenile justice system and/or their families.
- Must have own transportation and proof of auto insurance.
- A person who has a record of a criminal conviction or founded child abuse report shall not be employed, unless an evaluation concludes that the crime or founded abuse does not merit prohibition of employment.
- Certifications required after hire include Mandatory Child Abuse Reporting, C.P.R. and MANDT.
