Job Title: Senior HVAC Service Technician - Hot Water, DX Systems, Chillers & More

Location: Des Moines, IA (with coverage across eastern Iowa, western Illinois, Missouri to Minnesota)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40 - $52 per hour + overtime

About the Role

Are you an experienced HVAC technician ready to take your career to the next level? We're looking for a Senior HVAC Service Technician to join a growing, customer-focused team. You'll work on a variety of commercial and industrial projects, including hot water systems, DX systems, chillers, and more, across a diverse territory.

This role balances technical expertise with hands-on service, and it's ideal for someone who enjoys working independently while supporting a growing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including hot water, DX, chillers, cooling towers, fan systems, VFDs, and low voltage controls
• Conduct equipment inspections, start-ups, commissioning, and preventative maintenance
• Provide technical training and support to clients and team members
• Identify opportunities for new services and solutions
• Travel within the assigned territory (Dubuque to Waterloo, Burlington, Grinnell, eastern Iowa, western Illinois, Missouri to Minnesota)
• Maintain accurate service records using company laptop and mobile systems

What You Bring

• 5+ years of HVAC experience, preferably in industrial or commercial settings
• Expertise in VRV/VRF systems, Daikin equipment, and refrigeration service
• HVAC license and EPA certification
• Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication
• Valid driver's license
• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
• Physical capability to lift 75 lbs and work in confined or elevated spaces

Must-Have:

Nice-to-Have:

Daikin training, experience with VFDs and industrial refrigeration, technical training or certifications beyond high school, willingness to travel within assigned territory, and previous experience in large-scale commercial or industrial facilities.
