Electrical Apprentice

Apprentice Electrician – $22–$27/hr

Job Type: Full‑time

Pay: $22–$27 per hour (based on experience and certifications)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, occasional overtime

Location: Cedar Rapids, IA

We are hiring a motivated 3rd Year Apprentice Electrician to join our growing electrical team. This position is ideal for someone currently enrolled in an apprenticeship program who wants steady work, hands‑on experience, and opportunities to advance toward becoming a licensed Journeyman. You will work under licensed electricians, assist with installations, troubleshoot electrical systems, and learn advanced skills in both commercial and residential environments.

• Assist Journeyman and Master Electricians with daily tasks
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment
• Pull wire, bend conduit, install panels, outlets, switches, and lighting
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
• Follow all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean job site
• Troubleshoot basic electrical issues under supervision
• Document work performed and communicate progress to supervisors

• Currently a 3rd Year Apprentice in a registered electrical apprenticeship program
• 2–3 years of electrical field experience
• Basic understanding of NEC codes and electrical safety practices
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
• Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions
