Sr HVAC Technician job at 5 Star Recruitment. Cedar Rapids, IA.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including hot water, DX, chillers, cooling towers, fan systems, VFDs, and low voltage controls
- Conduct equipment inspections, start-ups, commissioning, and preventative maintenance
- Provide technical training and support to clients and team members
- Identify opportunities for new services and solutions
- Travel within the assigned territory (Dubuque to Waterloo, Burlington, Grinnell, eastern Iowa, western Illinois, Missouri to Minnesota)
- Maintain accurate service records using company laptop and mobile systems
- 5+ years of HVAC experience, preferably in industrial or commercial settings
- Expertise in VRV/VRF systems, Daikin equipment, and refrigeration service
- HVAC license and EPA certification
- Strong problem‑solving skills and excellent communication
- Valid drivers license
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
- Physical capability to lift 75 lbs and work in confined or elevated spaces
