Lead Installer – Commercial Furniture

As a Lead Installer, you ll guide a crew on projects for healthcare, education, and business clients across Iowa and South Dakota. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on installation or construction experience who is ready to step into leadership. If you ve led crews before—even outside of furniture installation—you ll find a clear path for growth with us.

• Lead and mentor an installation crew, setting the tone for teamwork and accountability
• Manage installation of Miller Knoll and other commercial furniture product lines
• Review drawings/blueprints and ensure installs meet project standards
• Troubleshoot issues on site and keep projects moving smoothly
• Communicate daily with the project team, clients, and contractors in a professional, solutions-focused way
• Train newer installers in Pigott s standards and help build their skills
• Take ownership of job readiness, site preparation, and follow-through to client sign-off

• Experience leading crews in installation, construction, carpentry, or a related field
• Hands-on skills with power tools, product assembly, and safe material handling
• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, or blueprints
• Strong communication and leadership able to direct a team and keep projects on track
• High school diploma or GED (minimum); 2-3 years of related installation experience preferred
• Willingness to work in a physical, fast-moving environment (lifting up to 64 lbs, bending, kneeling, etc.)
