Electrical Foreman

position is operating out of cedar rapids, ia.

muth electric is looking for an electrical foreman for a data center project. Work involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical/electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment. The national electrical code and all other applicable standards and specifications are followed.

  assigns work according to skill levels, trains others, and monitors workmanship and progress in the field.
• broad installation experience
  demonstrates a strong working knowledge in installation of power, lighting, controls, fire alarm, instrumentation, and related systems.
• upholds a high standard of quality
  ensures that installations meet or exceed company standards, industry requirements, and project specifications.
• follows company policies and standard procedures
  applies consistent work practices, documentation habits, tool use standards, material control processes, and administrative requirements.
• monitors crew morale and performance
  maintains awareness of team dynamics and communicates performance, behavior concerns, and staffing needs to leadership.

• able to physically lift up to and in excess of 75 pounds, unassisted, frequently throughout the day (physical work is more than 70% of the job)
• ability to safely climb up and down ladders
• ability to work alone once instructions have been given
• able to complete a full day’s assignments involving one or more of the following: bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, balancing, pushing, pulling, reaching over head, and repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers
• ability to wear personal protective equipment and any other safety related equipment
• able to wear personal tool belt at all times on the jobsite
• able to work from various heights via ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and other safe work platforms and areas
• able to work in and around restricted/confined spaces such as manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, attics, clean rooms, and raised metal floors
• able to work in extreme weather conditions and elements, indoor or outdoor, including heat, cold, rain, mud, dust, and snow depending on job location
• specific vision abilities required
• able to work a 40 hour work week, with overtime and off‑hour shifts as required

A) or equivalent from two‑year college or technical school; or one or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience and has a valid state journey worker’s license in the applicable state in which the electrician works out of.
