As a Security Officer - Full Time - Morning in Cedar Rapids, IA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing and industrial location where you will manage access control, verify credentials, coordinate visitor sign-in, and support gate and lobby operations. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and respond to incidents while providing clear, professional customer service.

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification and authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or access control systems, and document unusual activity, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns for follow-up.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, loading docks, and perimeter lines, to help deter unauthorized access and/or unsafe conditions.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
