As a Security Officer - Full Time in Cedar Rapids, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing and industrial location where you will manage access control, greet employees and visitors, verify credentials, and coordinate visitor badging and entry logs. You will remain highly visible at key entry points, support routine patrols and incident reporting, and communicate clearly with site teams to help reduce security-related concerns.

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
• Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials, managing visitor and contractor check-in and/or check-out, and directing traffic to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with notifications, documentation, and coordination with site contacts and/or responding authorities as directed.
• Monitor access control systems, gates, doors, and restricted areas to help deter unauthorized entry, and report irregularities, hazards, and maintenance issues through established reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated interior and exterior areas, including building perimeters and parking areas, and complete patrol logs and incident reports per site requirements.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
