Nurse Practitioner

Overview

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides comprehensive primary care in a community health setting under medical director supervision.

Travel may be required, and accommodations are available for disabilities.

• Must have current NP certification, Iowa licensure, and board certification in family or primary care.
• Preferred experience with underserved populations and bilingual English/Spanish skills.
• Responsibilities include health assessments, managing acute and chronic conditions, health promotion, and patient counseling.
• Performs minor procedures, collaborates with healthcare team, and refers complex cases to physicians.
• Participates in protocols, continuing education, quality review, and documentation.
• Physical demands include standing, lifting, and handling patients; work environment is moderate noise with potential exposure to health hazards.
