We are hiring a Pipe Fabricator to join our Cedar Rapids fabrication team. This role involves threading and grooving pipe, performing light welding to make‑on fittings and fabricating lined pipe. As a Fabricator you will be essential to producing high‑quality fabricated pipe and fittings used on job sites and in sprinkler system installs. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship and delivering high quality work.

• Set up and operate threading and grooving machines for pipe fabrication.
• Make‑on fittings, light welding, and lined pipe fabrication.
• Read drawings, material lists, and job orders to determine fabrication specifications.
• Inspect materials before, during, and after fabrication to verify that results meet specifications.
• Monitor machines during operation to ensure the accuracy and quality of production.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Operate overhead cranes to move material.
• Assist with shipping and receiving duties as required.

• Previous welding or fabrication experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, material lists, and job orders
• Mechanical aptitude
• Basic math skills
• Cooperative, positive attitude to work with others

Duties are performed inside a warehouse building with exposure to all seasonal weather elements when moving materials between buildings or loading trucks. Requires standing for long periods of time, frequent walking, stooping, and bending and occasional climbing ladders. Requires lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds. Requires operation of manual hand carts, electric lifts, forklifts, and overhead cranes.

Warehouse workers are required to complete pre‑employment drug screen as condition of hire.
