Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Legal Counsel, located in Cedar Rapids, IA. The Senior Legal Counsel will handle day-to-day legal tasks including negotiating and drafting purchase agreements or NNN commercial leases, corporate formation and governance issues, formation and dissolving tenancy in common agreements, review of ALTA/title insurance reports for title concerns on out of state transactions, interpreting lease language and advocating for the company, legal analysis of critical aspects of due diligence of a potential acquisition, running acquisition and disposition transactions, reviewing and negotiating loan documents, limited securities law compliance, assistance with commercial property tax appeals and limited collections responsibilities.
Qualifications- Expertise in corporate formation and governance, lease and purchase agreements (drafting/negotiation) for NNN commercial properties, running an acquisition process for commercial real estate, loan review and negotiation, property tax appeal experience, 1031 exchange transaction experience and securities law knowledge is a bonus

- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
