Responsibilities

• Be aware of department compliance requirements for federally funded healthcare programs (e.g., Medicare and Medicaid) regarding fraud, waste, and abuse. Bring any questions or concerns regarding compliance to the immediate attention of department or administrative staff.
• Purposefully conduct all aspects of the job in an ethical manner in support of the organization’s commitment to ethical behavior in all areas of personal and professional activity.
• Provide compassionate care to individuals struggling with their mental health.
• Take vital signs, administer injectable psychotropic medications, facilitate prescription renewals, provide health education.
• Perform other duties within the scope of practice and under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.
• Demonstrate a positive cooperative attitude, flexibility, and a willingness to change to meet department goals.
• Perform additional duties as may be assigned to ensure complete service to all customers.

Qualifications

Education

Requires Medical Assistant Certification.

Qualifications/Experience

Previous experience is preferred but not required. Must have a valid Iowa Driver's License.
