Systems Engineer

Own DAL A certification strategy and execution (ARP 4754A, DO-178C, DO-254, DO-297, DO-330), including SOIs, audits, and issue resolution.
Experience with
Avionics Full-Duplex Switched Ethernet
Define, decompose, and manage traceable requirements for TSN (IEEE 802.1AS, 802.1
Qbv, 802.1
Qci, 802.1DP) and ARINC A664/A615A features; ensure proper flow-down to modules, components, and subcontractors.
Drive system- and component-level verification & validation; develop strategies, artifacts, and maintain configuration control and interface management.
Lead system/product integration to optimize performance and operability; manage cross-discipline risk trades.
Coordinate multi-functional teams (software, hardware, test, safety, reliability, certification) and participate in design/code reviews for network switch development.
Engage customers and suppliers on requirements, interoperability, and compliance; benchmark industry and competitive approaches.
Mentor systems engineers and contribute to best practices, strategy, and policy in area of responsibility.
Apply sound judgment to resolve moderately complex technical/operational issues; elevate risks early to meet quality, schedule, and budget goals.
Travel up to 10%.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, or STEM)
- 8+ years of experience in design, systems integration, or verification
- Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals (IP, Ethernet, VLANs, switching, routing, topologies)
- U.S. Citizenship required (due to U.S. Government contract restrictions)
- Expertise in TSN (IEEE 802.1AS/802.1
Qbv/802.1
Qci/802.1DP) and ARINC A664/A615A - Knowledge of QoS, NTP, DHCP, FTP/TFTP/SNMP, SSH, IPSec
- Proficiency with Cameo, Teamwork Cloud, IBM DOORS, RTC/EWM
- DAL A development experience; customer-facing technical interaction; project estimation
- Self-motivated leader with strong interpersonal skills
