The Mission Systems Microelectronics Systems team based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa has new opportunities for individuals who want to grow their technical expertise on complex programs and fast-paced mission systems business area. In this role, you will support the complete system-v diagram from definition and decomposition to integration and test used in aerospace and defense. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, test, and manufacturing engineers to bring cutting-edge electronic systems from concept to production.
This is an ideal position with a background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field who are excited to grow their careers in the fast-paced world of microelectronics.
- System development in all systems technical elements of an entire development project. (Capturing system requirements through Validation & Verification)
- Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with other engineers in the planning, design, and development of military technology
- Work closely within cross-functional teams
- Independently perform multiple tasks given support from a mentor
- Implement requirements, detailed design, integration, and verification in accordance with system development processes
- Accomplish tasks based on program schedule, collaborate with teammates in order to make the best decisions
- Enjoy learning new technologies, be self-motivated and contribute to a positive work environment
- You will gain technical experience, mentorship opportunities, and exposure to established engineers within the Microelectronics Center of Excellence that will help advance your career
- You will gain hands-on experience and foundational knowledge from system definition and decomposition to integration and test

- Collaboration across multiple engineering disciplines for execution of programs
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).

- Possess excellent communication skills, including the ability to write technical material and present to customers and mid-level managers
