OverviewThe Secure Subsystems Department designs, tests, and certifies technology for our warfighters. The Secure Subsystems Engineering team seeks a Systems Architect with a passion for innovation and a drive to mature new technology into fielded solutions.
What You Will Do- Lead and mentor Systems Engineers through design and development efforts.
- Create and execute systems architecture for digital hardware embedded into a host to provide cryptographic functionality.
- Communicate with multiple levels of management, teamũ members, and customers.
- Interface with multiple hardware and software teams to resolve dependencies and technical challenges.
- Monitor and assess project issues, escalating when necessary, and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer‑satisfaction goals.
- Provide support for proposals and bids, using estimation tools.
- Build technical leadership, mentorship, and exposure to influential individuals within Mission Systems.
- Work with security and crypto certification specialists and cross‑functional product teams.
- Gain knowledge in security‑hardened products and evolving business contexts.
- Typical STEM degree with at least 10 years relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 7 years relevant experience.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued secret security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Exceptional communication skills, including presenting technical data to program management.
- Strong systems engineering skills from product design through qualification and certification.
- Experience as a Product Owner in an Agile environment.
- Experience with Model‑Based System Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools.
- Experience capturing customer requirements, design concept development, and deriving and
628 tracing system and subsystem level requirements.
