Janitza LP is the North American arm of Janitza electronics GmbH, a leading German manufacturer of electrical power monitoring hardware and software. A family‑owned business, we create hardware and software to measure and analyze power quality for our data center and industrial manufacturing customers. With our tools, companies can reduce energy costs, improve uptime, and decrease their carbon footprint.
Our North American branch was established in 2018 and our team is growing quickly. We’re looking for a Project Manager in the Cedar Rapids region with a background in electrical engineering or a related field to assist sales, answer customer questions throughout the lifecycle of their projects, and provide ongoing training and support.
Who You AreReporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Project Manager will join our team in North America supporting ongoing customer projects and programs. You’ll work closely with both the sales and operations teams to coordinate needs for customers with detailed and complex requirements. You demonstrate your expertise by working with all internal teams, tracking all projects, and serving as the primary interface with those customers.
You are familiar with all phases of these customers and help coordinate all internal activities to make these projects run efficiently.
Ideally, you’ll bring an organized and detailed approach to ensure all activity is tracked and communicated appropriately. You’ve proven you can work together with both internal teams and customer contacts to provide timely and effective execution of customer construction and retrofit projects.
What You’ll Do- Outline the requirements or tasks involved in the project, delegate, and track accordingly.
- Act as a liaison between Janitza, program customers, integrated third parties, and potentially vendors.
- Assist our customers with configuration and setup of Janitza hardware and software.
- Assess and, as required, assess customer feedback and new requirements, providing evaluation and assessment in relation to current or historical needs.
- Conduct risk assessments as technical or logistical issues arise; report identified risks to management and provide mitigation recommendations.
- Conduct cost and profit analysis, supporting the finance and management team with reporting related to designated program customers.
- Work well in a customer‑facing position in a team environment.
- Travel up to 35 % of the time.
- Be based in the Cedar Rapids region or a nearby location that allows for in‑person availability.
Qualifications include:
- College degree or technical diploma.
- Knowledge and experience in typical mission‑critical and industrial customer electrical applications; experience with Janitza product portfolio and metering applications (or similar).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maximize internal tools for collaboration.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Experience working with end customers.
- Ability to communicate across technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working with end users in various market segments and environments.
- Experience navigating internal company teams and business units to achieve a maximum positive and efficient result for the assigned customers.
