This engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of portions of our manufacturing line as well as taking a lead role in continuous improvement initiatives. This  Industrial Engineer will provide technical support to Operations for aerospace electronics manufacturing processes, including circuit card assembly, electronic sub-assemblies, and top-level radio integration.

This role drives process improvements, supports daily production needs, and partners with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, predictable, and efficient build processes that meet cost, quality, and delivery requirements.

This role offers a blend of independent initiative and teamwork, collaborating closely with manufacturing engineers, production personnel, management, and support organizations. Located onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our operational excellence and innovation. Some travel to local Iowa regional sites will be required. This role is onsite, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Partner with design engineering to drive design-for-manufacturability (DFM) improvements and ensure manufacturing requirements are incorporated into new designs and changes
** Qualifications You Must Have*
* * Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
* Experience in Solidworks, CAD, or similar programs

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience Experience in an aerospace, defense, or high-reliability electronics manufacturing environment Working knowledge of electronics assembly processes (SMT, hand solder, reflow, sub-assembly build, adhesives, conformal coatings)

Demonstrated proficiency in time studies, capacity analysis, and process optimization

* * Experience supporting factory operations in a high-mix, low-volume environment
* Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
* Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
* Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
