Coe College seeks qualified candidates for the position of Admission Counselor. This role is responsible for fulfilling the recruitment goals of the college by identifying, cultivating and maintaining relationships with prospective students, families, and stakeholders. This position will seek commitments of prospective students in attending Coe College through the parameters defined by the Office of Admission.
Essential
Job Responsibilities:
* Recruit students in an effort to achieve overall recruitment goals, effectively managing recruitment territory including outreach to prospective students, their families, guidance counselors, alumni and other key constituents.
* Represent Coe College at public events such as high school visits and college fairs
* Review first-year student applications.
* Conduct interviews with prospective first-year students and their families.
* Communicate the qualities of a Coe education to key stakeholders such as parents and guidance counselors, in addition to students.
* Prioritize multiple projects in addition to direct recruitment activities.
* Travel a few weeks in the fall and spring.
* Attend and support departmental events (e.g. Visit Days, Admitted Student Weekend).
* Create/maintain extensive follow-up contact with prospective students through various modes of communication.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree required.
* College admission experience desired.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic communication (text, email, social media).
* Valid driver's license and ability to be insured under College auto insurance.
* Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States as we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
* Successful completion of a background check in accordance with Coe College policy.

* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple prospective student connections and departmental responsibilities.
* Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, including the ability to persuasively and authentically connect with prospective students and parents.
* Quantitative and logical reasoning skills, including ability to analyze data to assess admission trends
* An understanding of and passion for liberal arts education.
* Capability to excel under high-pressure circumstances while sustaining an enjoyable work environment.

Working Conditions and
Physical Requirements:
* Some travel, evenings and weekends required.
* Ability to drive to and meet with students in various locations and at various events.
* Ability to lift, push, pull up to 25 lbs. (set up for events).
* Extensive communication requirements.
