GeneralJob Summary
Perform duties including making beds, replenishing linens and bathroom supplies, cleaning rooms and halls, and vacuuming. This position serves as a trainer. Trainers are responsible for supervising the learning experience of students in all areas of The Hotel at Kirkwood Center, The Kirkwood Center for Hospitality Arts, and The Kirkwood Center for Continuing Education.

- Clean rooms, hallways, restrooms, corridors, and other work areas.
- Keep storage areas and carts well stocked and clean.

- Assist students in achieving course objectives.
- Coach and nurture students in the performance of skills.

- Report student performance to the Hospitality Program faculty.
- Serve as a resource for students.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance at work.
- Ability to comprehend both written and oral instructions and information.
- Ability to use cleaning tools.
- Ability to calculate chemicals.
- Demonstrate professional role modeling for students.
- Promote belief in students’ self‑worth and self‑awareness.

- Be familiar with and follow policies, procedures, and protocols of the program, college, and facility.

- Train students on job tasks and responsibilities according to faculty’s and facility’s Standard Operating Procedures.
- Assist students in identifying strengths and areas for improvement.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Willing to support other Housekeeping functions such as Laundry and Public Spaces as business demands require.
- Express and demonstrate high standards of hospitality and service at all times.

- Must be 18 years old.
- Preference is given to candidates with prior housekeeping experience in a hospitality setting.
- Post‑high‑school degree.
- Equivalent education and related work experience.
- At least two years full‑time experience in a related hospitality setting.
- Completion of the core assessments of the Skills Advantage Work Keys Program.
