St. Ambrose University and the Mount Mercy University campus located in Cedar Rapids, IA, seeks a dedicated and highly organized Nursing Advisor & Clinical Compliance Coordinator to join the Martin-Herold College of Nursing & Health (MHCNH). This position plays a vital role in supporting the academic success of pre-licensure BSN transfer students while ensuring compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.

The Nursing Advisor & Clinical Compliance Coordinator is responsible for providing educational guidance and assistance to students by planning schedules, recommending courses, and supporting academic pathways. This role tracks student progression and provides case management for those who do not meet admission requirements and assists with at-risk students. Additionally, the coordinator oversees compliance monitoring for all MHCNH undergraduate students and contributes to continuous quality improvement of advising services, programs, and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise and support BSN transfer students with course planning, registration, and academic success.
  • Track student progress, provide case management for at-risk students, and assist with retention efforts.
  • Oversee compliance for undergraduate nursing students, including health records, background checks, and certifications.
  • Collaborate with faculty and admissions on student recruitment, success strategies, and accreditation reporting.
  • Maintain accurate student and program documentation.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required;
    Master's preferred.
  • Academic advising or higher education experience desirable.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and technology skills.
  • Ability to multitask, maintain confidentiality, and work collaboratively.
