Position: Civil Construction Project Manager (Anamosa, IA)

Job Overview

We are seeking a serious, analytical, and highly reliable Project Manager who is comfortable taking the lead and working independently within structured processes to deliver strong outcomes. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional known for executing with speed and accuracy. The Project Manager works directly with owners and engineers to successfully deliver construction projects by overseeing and directing work from conception through completion while ensuring quality, schedule, and safety standards are met.

This is a direct-hire position.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules
  • Coordinate and direct subcontractors and suppliers
  • Ensure project paperwork, correspondence, and submittals are processed in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with all project team members and stakeholders
  • Manage multiple projects at various stages simultaneously
  • Review construction drawings and provide comments to the project team
  • Perform effectively under pressure and within strict project timelines
  • Execute electronic take-offs of construction documents for earthwork quantities using specialized software
  • Oversee complete project take-offs and input data into estimating software systems
  • Analyze project specifications and break work into defined tasks to determine appropriate crews, equipment, and materials
  • Promote and comply with all company and safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain a professional attitude with owners, inspectors, the public, subcontractors, and internal personnel
Skills
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, email communications, and scheduling tools
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting project specifications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Science, or Construction Management
  • Minimum of three (3) years of construction project management or related PM experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in excavation and underground utility construction projects
  • Experience with electronic scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project)
  • Experience with B2W and Agtek software
