Rinderknecht Associates, Inc. is seeking a motivated Project Manager with 3-5 years of construction management experience who reflects our core values of Safety Excellence, Committed to Serve and Always do the right thing. The ideal candidate is eager to take ownership of projects, ensuring safe execution, clear communication, and quality results that support our clients and company success.
Responsibilities- Successfully manages projects and project teams to meet or exceed the financial projections defined in the project plan
- Tracks hours used against project tasks completed and takes corrective action to keep projects within budget
- Completes accurate Project Cost Projections on time
- Successfully manages and tracks cost code expenditures for additional scope items or unforeseen conditions for change orders or historical record keeping
- Responsible for creating and maintaining accurate, high-level construction schedules, ensuring all activities are logically sequenced and updated throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensures that the quality of work in each area of the project meets the requirements of the project plan and Company quality standards
- Actively monitors the progress of each project and addresses scheduling problems as soon as they are identified
- Supports superintendents and field staff with project issues as they arise
- Proactively manages project updates, keeping the client and team up-to-date on project status and any potential issues
- Effectively manages client expectations with what can be completed within the client's budget and timeline
- Communicates and maintains good working relationships with all internal staff, contractors, consultants and clients
- Works closely with the project team to review all drawings, specs and estimates to identify and resolve potential issues prior to construction
- Develops a detailed project schedule, including resources required and task schedule prior to starting each project or project activity
- Confirms plan details with all members of the project team and accounts for the needs of other existing projects
- Review of subcontractor/vendor submittals to ensure compliance with construction documents and subcontracts or purchase orders
- Regularly completes project documentation, billings and updates PM software to stay current with actual work performed
- Ensures that all required documentation and approvals are in place prior to completing work outside of the original project scope
- Communication with project stakeholders including progress reporting, meeting agendas/minutes, requests for information, etc.
- Reinforce Safety Culture
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or an equivalent level of training/ experience
- 3-5 years relevant experience in a construction project management role, preferably in our markets and property types
- Broad knowledge of project management methods and strategies to successfully meet financial and budget targets
- Strong track record of successfully managed projects and satisfied clients
- Proven ability to manage project completion on schedule and meet all deadlines
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Above average written and oral communication skills to interact with customers and internal team
- Proven team leadership and relationship management skills
