Tel Com Construction is seeking a motivated, hard-working Aerial Superintendent to join our team in the Cedar Rapids area to manage aerial construction operations, specifically for the ImOn overbuild project. This full-time, permanent position requires a strong focus on team leadership, project execution, quality, and safety in telecommunications construction.

The Aerial Superintendent will assume leadership and management responsibilities for aerial construction crews, which include:

• Providing advanced communication, leadership, and direction to multiple crew members and potentially multiple crews.
• Directing and overseeing all phases of aerial telecommunications construction, ensuring jobs are completed on time and to specification.
• Implementing and performing steps to meet daily and long-term production goals.
• Conducting regular walk-throughs and inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to prints.
• Monitoring and adhering to all OSHA, state, and city/municipality safety processes and procedures.
• Conducting weekly toolbox talks and other required safety training.
• Ensuring all DOT documentation and other required reporting are maintained and submitted accurately.
• Performing duties of a qualified aerial lineman, including pole transfers, maintenance builds, new build, cable installation, over lash, and strand construction, as needed.
• Maintaining and submitting required reporting.
• Other Duties as assigned.

• Previous experience in a leadership position such as Foreman or Supervisor, with a focus on crew leadership in telecommunications construction is required.
• Extensive knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques.
• Able to perform all duties in telecommunications construction.
• Ability to climb telephone poles and work in a bucket truck and work aloft and climb poles up to 40 feet.
• Able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs as needed with or without assistance.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to give descriptive and respectful direction.
• Basic computer skills required, experience with Google apps a plus.
• A valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Unrestricted Class A CDL.
• Ability to travel when required.
