We are looking for a Quality Technician to serve as a vital guardian of product excellence. This is a dynamic, hands‑on role where you will oversee the integrity of both incoming materials and internal production.
For an expert in metrology and standards who thrives in a fast‑paced, technical environment, this position offers the chance to influence process improvements and ensure the highest levels of manufacturing precision.
- Execute rigorous inspections of incoming components and lead First Article Inspections (FAI) to ensure all supplier materials align with strict technical specifications and documentation requirements.
- Conduct real‑time process audits and part checks on the manufacturing floor, identifying deviations early and collaborating with teams to implement effective corrective actions.
- Partner with engineering to design comprehensive inspection protocols, defining the "pass/fail" benchmarks that maintain the company’s reputation for reliability.
- Oversee the lifecycle of sophisticated testing and measurement equipment, ensuring all tools are accurately calibrated, validated, and ready for use.
- Act as a cross‑functional quality consultant, working alongside production and engineering departments to streamline workflows and elevate overall manufacturing standards.
- 7+ years of dedicated quality inspection experience within a highly technical manufacturing landscape (e.g., Aerospace, Medical Device, or Advanced Engineering).
- Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and a strong command of various measurement verification techniques and calibration methodologies.
- Possession of an ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification is highly preferred.
- An uncompromising eye for detail and the ability to work independently to resolve complex quality deviations or supplier documentation gaps.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with vendors and internal stakeholders, with a willingness to travel approximately 25% for site visits and audits.
