Pediatric Urgent Care Nurse; RN​/LVN - Cedar Park, TX - Per Diem

Join our team as a Pediatric Urgent Care Nurse (RN/LVN) at PM Pediatric Care in Cedar Park, TX. This is a per diem position suited for energetic and motivated nurses passionate about pediatric care.

The Registered Nurse/LVN will provide comprehensive pediatric urgent care, supporting physicians and collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, performing procedures, administering medications, and ensuring a safe, supportive environment for pediatric patients and their families.

• Support clinical operations and patient care activities
• Gather medical histories, vital signs, and prioritize patient needs
• Perform procedures such as venipuncture, IV insertion, and urinary catheterization; administer medications accordingly
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Maintain medical supplies and sterilization processes
• Respond to emergencies promptly and effectively
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, HIPAA, and hospital policies
• Participate in quality control and continuing education
• Contribute to a positive team environment and improve care flow efficiency

• Experience in pediatrics, ER, or urgent care preferred
• Active nursing license (state or compact)
• Proficiency in pediatric nursing procedures and pharmacology
• Current BLS certification; PALS preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and emergency response skills
• Energetic, customer-focused, professional, and a team player
