Key Responsibilities:
Performing active physiological monitoring (heart rate, rhythm, pressures, saturations) and anticipating changes during cases. Conducting patient testing/monitoring, including oxygen saturation, cardiac output, shunting, and hemodynamic calculations. Demonstrating knowledge of procedures and proper equipment handling/asepsis. Assisting with room setup, patient transport, and post-procedure clean-up, ensuring infection control. Performing post-procedure patient education regarding monitoring and catheter insertion site care. Required & Preferred Credentials: BLS Provider (American Heart Association).
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credentialed from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). Also mentions Cardiographic Tech specializing in Electrophysiology credentialed from CCI. Advanced Life Support (ALS) preferred (American Heart Association).
