SUMMARY

As a Spacecraft Integration Technician II, you will play a vital role in assembling, integrating, and testing spacecraft. Working closely with integration and test engineers, you will assist in the mechanical and electrical integration of spacecraft, ensuring adherence to high-quality standards and procedures.

Your responsibilities will include executing work instructions and test procedures, improving the efficiency of integration facility operations through lean principles, and contributing to the development of spacecraft integration processes and documentation to train future technicians and engineers. Additionally, you will support offsite integration and test campaigns, including environmental testing and launch preparation.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist in mechanical and electrical integration of spacecraft in the Hive integration facilities
  • Support execution of work instructions and test procedures in partnership with integration and test engineers
  • Assist in the improvement of organization and operation of integration facilities through implementation of lean principles
  • Assist in the maturation of high-level spacecraft integration processes and practices and development of spacecraft integration documentation that will be used to educate future spacecraft integration technicians and engineers
  • Support offsite integration and test campaigns including environmental testing and launch preparation
QUALIFICATIONS Required
  • 2+ years of prior experience in related field.
  • Expertise in torquing/staking practices in mechanical assemblies.
  • Familiarity with adhesive bonding for electronic or mechanical components to ensure proper attachment or conductivity.
  • Knowledge of practices and safety protocols to prevent damage to sensitive electronics due to static electricity (ESD Safety).
  • Experience working with pressure vessels made of composite materials in aerospace or high-pressure applications.
  • Skilled in wiring techniques, including routing cables, joining wires through splicing, crimping, and soldering, with IPC certification for quality and standards.
  • Familiarity with working in a cleanroom environment to avoid contamination, particularly in industries like aerospace, semiconductor manufacturing, or medical devices.
  • Experience in connecting harnesses and ensuring the proper fit of connectors in electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of cable management and safety procedures, particularly with the use of SafeT Cable and lock wiring for secure connections.
  • Hands‑on familiarity with electrical and electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies).
  • Basic understanding of wiring, signal routing, and connector systems common in aerospace or industrial environments.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and interpret interface drawings or schematics.
  • Strong attention to detail with consistent, clear documentation habits.
