Design EngineerAs a Design Engineer, you will support the engine design team by managing detailed engineering documentation, drawings, CAD models, and tolerance stack‑up tools. This role is critical and requires a high attention to detail and strong GD&T skills. Much of the work can be completed remotely, allowing flexibility, but it will involve essential tasks required by both managers.
Responsibilities- Produce, revise, and clean up engineering drawings.
- Apply strong GD&T principles to drawings.
- Create or support building tolerance stack‑up calculators/tools.
- Build and organize CAD models, ideally in NX.
- Support documentation and tool creation across various teams.
- Complete detailed engineering tasks to allow responsible engineers to focus on higher‑level design and testing work.
- Expert‑level GD&T proficiency.
- Experience creating tolerance stack‑up tools.
- CAD proficiency, ideally with Siemens NX.
- High attention to detail and strong ability to execute meticulous tasks.
- Ability to quickly learn team documentation standards and workflow tools.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
- Experience in automotive, defense, or any mechanically oriented industry is acceptable.
- Mechanical engineering background may be preferred.
The work environment offers flexibility with the possibility of remote work. If onsite work is required, you may be expected to float between locations, including Cedar Park, TX, and Bertram, TX. This is a Contract position based out of Cedar Park, TX.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
