Overview

On-Demand:
Guest Advocate (Cashier), General Merchandise, Fulfillment, Food and Beverage, Style (T1836) rting hourly rate: $15.50 USD per hour. This role is On-Demand, with a flexible schedule based on store needs and shift availability.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks and engage with guests to solve their specific needs.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to resolve guest issues and improve their experience.
• Assist with order pickup, drive-up, and registry guests; maintain a clean, clutter-free work area; stock supplies during store hours.
• Scan and bag all guest items efficiently and in compliance with safety standards and company best practices; minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
• Promote and explain Target Loyalty programs and support enrollment; understand and demonstrate how to use Wallet and Target App features.
• Handle returns per store policies and de-escalate situations in partnership with leadership.
• Escalate and solve guest concerns by collaborating with leaders as needed while following Target’s policies and procedures.
• Support cash office processes as needed, including cash systems management; adhere to safety policies and training; report hazards when appropriate.
• Perform other duties based on business needs.

• You enjoy interacting with guests and helping others in a fast-paced, active environment where teamwork and problem solving are key.
• You are open to flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and other peak times.

• Effective communication and a welcoming attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to remain focused and organized in a busy setting; multi-tasking and attention to detail.
• Willingness to educate guests about products and services and to engage around store offerings.
• Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment; work both independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift up to 44 pounds with or without assistance; frequent standing, walking, and entering/exiting store areas; be adaptable to varying temperatures.

• Active engagement by picking up shifts is required; employee must work at least one shift within five months or face administrative termination. If no shifts are worked within five months, employment may be terminated.
• On-Demand Team Members may attend a Welcome orientation and must commit to a short-term training schedule before using the scheduling app to pick up shifts.
• Other duties may be assigned based on business needs.
