Job Summary

Cutting inventory using a saw machine as specified according to work orders and by directive of supervisor.

Function in the Job

Medium/Heavy work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Job Function

* Responsible for operating a saw machine to cut steel material.

* Display the ability to accurately use basic measuring devices, including tape measure and micrometers.

* Display the ability to use manual hand tools, including wrenches and clamps.

* Log and tag inventory received according to specified procedure

* Assemble customer orders according to work orders

* Record pertinent material information to work orders, material, or other forms as specified by management

* Work within precise limits and standards of accuracy.

* Works and coordinates with multiple areas of warehouse, and coworkers to complete tasks.

* Maintain compliance with all safety requirements, policies, and procedures.

* Safety sensitive for his/her owns safety and/or of others safety.

* Demonstrated initiative to proactively seek out work and complete tasks

Required Skills

Minimum 2-3 years industrial materials handling.

Must have effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to read and write English.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
