Certain positions with IDEX Corporation and its business units require access to controlled goods and technologies subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations or the Export Administration Regulations. • Grind castings per instructions
• Change and dress grinding wheels
• Select the proper tools for the application
• Identify equipment malfunctions
• Operational knowledge of air-supplied hoods
• Identify scrap and/or defective castings and report to Supervisor/Management
• Operate hoists and other lifting devices
• Occasionally required to help/assist new or transferred employees
• Must exercise proper care of tools and equipment
• Must be able to work mandatory overtime as needed
• Other Duties as assigned

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Experience in an industrial environment preferred

• Grinding wheels
• Pneumatic or electric hand grinders
• Pneumatic chipper
• Hand tools
• Lifting equipment and devices

• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds on a regular basis and up to 70 pounds on a periodic basis.
• Stand for extended periods up to 10 hours per day.
• Required to wear respirator or air supplied hoods and other applicable PPE
• Ability to move within office and manufacturing complex and write by hand and/or type.
• Ability to communicate by speech and hearing via phone, radio, and in person.
• Participation in any medical examinations required by law or federal regulations.
• Visual acuity is needed for close-detail work and computer use.
• Exposed to many elements, but none continuously present to the extent of being disagreeable.
