This full-time, on-site role in Cedar Falls, IA, involves assisting in managing dining operations and ensuring a high-quality dining experience for students, staff, and visitors. The Assistant Dining Manager will oversee daily food service activities, manage team members, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, monitor inventory, and coordinate schedules. The role also includes staff training, addressing customer feedback, collaborating on menu planning, and contributing to the efficient management of dining facilities.
Qualifications- Strong leadership and management skills, including team supervision and staff training
- Experience in food service operations and knowledge of health and safety standards in dining services
- Strong organizational and time-management skills for planning schedules and managing inventory
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, including the ability to address feedback professionally
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in budget management and ensuring operational efficiency is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree plus at least one year of experience in institutional food service operations, retail food service, catering, or related field. A culinary degree plus four years of related experience may be substituted. Student experience will be considered.
