Position Summary

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with a minimum of six months of management/third‑key experience. Assistant Store Managers are accountable for the daily operations of the store and promoting a positive, productive environment. This position partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit, retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations.

Assistant Store Managers analyze store financial statements to ensure financial goals are met, commit to the company's asset protection program, promote the business, and target new customer acquisitions. Employees handle a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise—including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more.

This position offers an hourly wage, plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. Actual pay is based on location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
  • Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers so their development meets First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent via company‑prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise, and ensuring all procedures are followed for asset protection.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
  • Administer store processes and procedures: inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and enterprise‑level reporting.
  • Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
  • Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of all loans issued.
  • Complete assigned tasks and training for self‑development as requested.
  • Communicate clearly with employees to ensure they understand the store’s mission and profit objectives.
  • Remain up‑to‑date on product knowledge.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Willing and able to perform duties that may require standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting for extended periods of time.
  • Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
  • Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
  • May be asked to assist a customer on the exterior of the building or to retrieve products stored outdoors.
