Job Description
- Manage the Customer Graphical Technical Center processes.
- Provide technical support to the customer.
- Ensure customer success by providing products and services.
- Maintain and support company's Group performance targets.
- Achieve a zero workplace injury and incident record.
- Maintain a clean and organized workplace using Lean manufacturing and 5S techniques.
- Comply with all company's Group and customer safety requirements.
- Attend monthly safety training and wear personal protective equipment.
- Maintain proper inventory levels to support customer press schedules.
- Support company's Group Days on Hand inventory targets.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for the weighing, dispensing, and blending of inks.
- Ensure compliance with customer color and overall quality control standards/specifications.
- Perform color matching and maintain customer formulation files.
- Develop and maintain a plan to work off press returns and obsolete materials.
- Coordinate scheduling of work and assignments for all GTC personnel.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot customer press/ink-related issues.
- Document and communicate technical issues to the company's Group Technical Service Representative.
- Maintain action register on customer/ink room process improvements.
- Prepare and maintain accurate manufacturing and quality control records.
- Fill in as needed to cover Graphic Technician responsibilities.
- Maintain Graphic Technician performance records.
- Approve ADP time cards and recommend promotion and compensation increases for direct reports.
- 2+ to 5 years of experience.
- Mid-Senior management level.
- Experience in Printing / Ink / Manufacturing.
- Experience managing Graphic Technical Centers or Ink Rooms.
- Experience with ink formulation, blending, and color matching.
- Experience supporting printing press operations.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing / 5S.
- Experience managing inventory and DOH targets.
- Experience maintaining SOPs and quality documentation.
- Experience troubleshooting press or ink-related issues onsite.
- Experience supervising technicians and approving timecards.
- Familiar with ADP or similar workforce systems.
