Graphical Technical Center Manager

Thompson First Group is currently seeking a qualified GTC Manager for a local client in Cedar City, UT.

• Achieve a zero‑work place injury and incident record by maintaining a clean and organized work place using Lean manufacturing and 5 S techniques. Comply with all company and customer Safety requirements including attendance in monthly safety training and the wearing of personal protection equipment.
• Maintain proper inventory levels to support the Customer Press schedules, while also supporting the Group Days on Hand Inventory Targets.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures in the weigh‑up, dispensing and blending of inks to meet the Customer color and overall QC standards/specifications.
• Color matching, including maintenance of customer formulation files.
• Develop and maintain a plan to work off press returns and obsolete materials and perform appropriate record‑keeping functions.
• Coordinate scheduling of work and assignments for all GTC personnel to ensure Ink to Press is maintained and serviced, while attempting to align with overtime cost reductions.
• Provide technical support / troubleshoot Customer Press / Ink related issues.
• Document and communicate technical issues to the Group Technical Service Representative.
• Maintain Action Register on Customer / Ink Room process improvements.
• Prepare and maintain accurate manufacturing and quality control records to meet production dates per customer’s schedule, ink adjustments at press, press downtime documents, root cause and corrective actions.
• Fill in as needed to cover Graphic Technician responsibilities.
• Maintain Graphic Technician performance records, approve ADP time‑cards and recommend promotion and compensation increase for direct reports.
