Located in the city of Enterprise in Southern Utah
About the roleThis is Red Cliff Ascent's mission statement. As our Assistant Field Director, you will play a vital role in helping us fulfill this mission. Red Cliff Ascent is a wilderness therapy program in the Southern Utah high desert that works with teenagers struggling emotional, behavioral, and substance abuse disorders. We use primitive skills, evidence-based experiential and family therapies, and healthy relationships to help our students and their families begin their healing journey.
Responsibilities- Visiting the field to perform quality checks and provide staff support
- Appropriately documenting all field visits and group conditions
- Managing the logistics of your shift, including resupply drop, intakes, and student transportation
- Encouraging your shift and providing 1-on-1 support, including training and retraining
- Actively track the advancement of your shift's Field Guides
- Responding to and managing crises in the field, including completing incident reports
- Promptly and accurately sharing all updates on student and field conditions with the Leadership Team and/or the specific student's Treatment Team
- Administering disciplinary action per company policy as necessary for your shift and appropriately documenting and communicating such with the rest of the Field Leadership Team

RequirementsPlease note:
your resume should include education, work experience, certifications, and licenses
- BS/BA in a related field or equivalent education and experience in a related field
- 1st Aid & CPR certified
- 25+ years of age per licensing requirements
- Able to pass motor vehicle record check
- Current Utah driver's license (within 30 days of employment)
- Able to pass criminal investigation background check
- Must live close enough to the field of operation and field office to effectively respond to program emergencies
- WFR or EMT certified
- CFR certified
- Aegis instructor certified
- Administrative managerial experience in a youth program or similar program
- "Administrative managerial experience" means you conducted firing, hiring, and disciplinary action with some or complete autonomy
